7th graders visit UCLA

On Thursday, June 4, our 7th graders along with seven staff members and five parents visited UCLA in Westwood. Students were given a self-guided tour by our own 7th grade teachers! Math Field Day

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Math Field Day students spent their Saturday morning doing math! Our school hosted the Alliance Math Field Day featuring students from five Alliance middle schools all competing to represent the Alliance at the county level where last year our kids dominated.

Unfortunately, our 6th and 7th grade teams didn’t make it to the next round, but our 8th grade team of Enrique Vidal, Gerardo Romero, Selena Lainez, and Adrian Nevarez did! They will represent the entire Alliance at the L.A. County Math Field Day on April 25.

A big thank you to the Math Field Day coaches Mrs. Toriz, Mr. Menjivar, and Mr. Fernandez for spending so much time during school, after school, and on Saturdays to prepare our students for the competition.
