Welcome to a new school year! my name is Juan Fernandez, I am a graduate of California State University of Long Beach, where I received both a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics Education, and a Teaching Credential.

This is my fourth year teaching here at College Ready Middle Academy #4, and I could not be more excited to be back and be a part of the educational revolution that is taking place in our school.

This year we will embark on a mathematical journey of discovery and implementation of Common Core practices. I am excited to teach Common Core Math 8 and Integrated Math 1 because the concepts learned in these classes will allow students to gain a better understanding of the 8 mathematical practices. Both courses are fundamental in the study of higher mathematics. My goal is to share my passion for mathematics and to show students that mathematics, although challenging at times, can render its beauty for all of those who seek it
