This past Pi Day (March 14, get it?) students participated in a challenge to memorize the most digits of pi. The competition was intense, and students came ready to show their mental prowess.
After two days of heated competition to win the title of the first ever Pi Jedi Mathster, one student emerged victorious:
Derrick Lopez – 6th grade (146 digits). What an amazing job!
Honorable mention:
Carlos Sanchez – 8th grade 126 digits
Blanca Garcia – 6th grade 105 digits
Felix Lopez – 6th grade 102 digits
